Curriculum Advisory Board

From Project GO

At Project Great Outdoors, we believe that learning should be a process of challenge, imagination, communication and perseverance. By building individual confidence and strengthening faith in collaborative efforts, we can maximize an individual's learning potential.

To guide our activities and curriculum, Project Great Outdoors has assembled a panel of professionals in the fields of education, counseling and experiential education. Our Curriculum Advisory Board is charged with the development of the course material and classroom activities we send to youth programs, both before and after their scheduled outdoor activities.

Divided into two tracks, our basic curriculum focuses primarily on self-confidence, communication, leadership and teamwork. Our advanced curriculum incorporates all of the concepts, but adds curriculum on the water cycle, the Gold Rush, Maidu Indian culture, and geology.
