Directions to Camp Lotus from the Bay Area & Sacramento
Travel time from the Bay Area is approximately 3 hours. Travel time from Sacramento is approximately 1 hour. Please allot ample time to allow for traffic conditions.
- From the Bay Area, take Interstate 80 East to Sacramento.
- From Sacramento, take Highway 50 East. Continue about 30 miles.
- Exit at the Shingle Springs/Ponderosa Exit (one exit past “3 Brothers Restaurant”).
- At the signal, turn left to go over the freeway.
- At the second signal, turn right on to North Shingle Road.
- Continue 4 ½ miles to a fork in the road. Go Left toward Lotus.
- Continue 5 ¾ miles to the first stop sign. Turn Left on Bassi Road.
- Continue one mile and turn Right into Camp Lotus.

Directions to Camp Lotus from Reno
Drive time from Reno is approximately 2.5 hours. Please allot ample time to allow for traffic and weather conditions.
- From Reno, take Interstate 80 West toward Sacramento.
- In Auburn, take the Elm Avenue Exit
- Stay in the right lane and continue over the overpass.
- At the 2nd stoplight, turn Left onto Highway #
- Continue ¼ mile to a stoplight just beyond the railroad overpass.
- Continue straight through the light and down into the canyon.
- At bottom of the canyon, stay on Highway 49 when it turns Right over the river.
- Continue approximately 15 miles to the town of Coloma.
- Immediately after the bridge over the South Fork American River, turn Right onto Lotus Road (if you enter the State Park, you’ve gone too far).
- Travel one mile to the first stop sign and turn Right onto Bassi Road.
- Continue one mile and turn Right into Camp Lotus.
