Volunteers

From Project GO

Project Great Outdoors was built on the dedication of our volunteers. Each hard working member of our staff, Curriculum Advisory Board, and Board of Directors, provides their services free of charge, except for our on-site coordinator.

If you're interested in becoming a guide, we hold a Basic Guide Training every June. Click Becoming a Whitewater Rafting Guide for more information.

At this time, we have over 100 volunteer guides and facilitators, six volunteer members of the Board of Directors, and a "virtual office" that includes an accountant, a bookkeeper, a graphic designer, a web page designer, a typographer, and an office manager. We are always amazed by the breadth of our volunteers abilities, and by the depth of their commitment.

As a volunteer-based organization, we're very mindful that each person's experience and qualifications are unique and valuable. Please contact us to see where you could best make a difference.
