June 19-20 and 26-July 4
Participants in this 11 day program will learn the fundamental hard, soft and meta skills required to guide an inflatable raft on a class III river like the South Fork of the American River. The training is offered as a “shared-cost” experience. The $500 fee includes camping, all meals, all equipment and instruction for 11 days. In return for this training, we ask that participants volunteer a day or two (or as many as possible!) guiding our program trips, which are offered to under-served youth in Northern California for as little as $15 per participant. We seek like-minded individuals with experience in working with young people, facilitation and outdoor leadership.
