Volunteer

Project GO is a volunteer based organization. You needn’t have any specific experience or expertise in experiential education, rafting, or youth services to be a part of Project GO, but if you do not already have any of these skills, you’ll need some training. You can participate in either our basic whitewater guide training (held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the summer) or one of our several facilitation workshops. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be ready to participate in an actual client outing. All volunteers work with clients under the direction of staff or of more senior volunteers, so no one is put into a situation they are not prepared to handle. All volunteers must read and sign Project GO’s memorandum of understanding for the current year.

Project GO volunteers frequently report that they get as much out of our program as do the young people we serve. If you’d like to join us, and/or have questions that are not addressed on this website, please contact us!
