There is no charge for our 11 day basic guide training, but there is limited space. We are looking for 15 individuals with the passion for, interest in, and possible existing aptitude for working with underserved young people in the outdoors. Of course we will gladly accept donations to Project GO from organizations or individuals who are involved in this training, but contributions will have no effect on our decision as to who will be selected. Consider the following application as a grant or scholarship application, and understand that we expect the field of applicants to be large.
We seek like minded individuals who either already work – or wish to work – with young people, in the outdoors, or in the field of adventure education. If you are just looking for cheap training so you can apply for a job as a commercial guide, this training is NOT for you. Participants need to be in reasonably good physical condition, but there is no upper age limit.
The dates for 2015 Training are
May 2-3 and 9-17
