Level 1 Rafting
Single day class III raft trip on the "Gorge" of the South Fork of the American River. Trip includes facilitated activities in the morning and emphasizes teamwork, communication, and heathy evaluation of risk-taking.
Level 2 Rafting
Single day class III raft trop on the "Chili Bar" of the South Fork of the American River. This is a somewhat more advanced strech of river, and is suggested only for organizations that have previously completed our Level 1 program. Participants will have a more active role in the actual trip, and will learn and practice the basics of guiding and river rescue. This program picks up where level 1 leaves off, and has a strong emphasis on self-confidance, resilience, and reliance through facing risk and overcoming challenge.
Level 3 Rafting / Camping
Overnight, self-supported class III river trip, including both the "Chili-Bar" and the "Gorge" sections of the South Fork American River. Participants will have an active role in all aspects of the trip, including planning, meal preparation, and the like. Participants will create an "action plan" to achieve a personal or group goal. Program must have completed a level 2 trip during the same season.
